What is the inspiration behind your poster design?

The inspiration for this poster was to combine images of young black individuals’ existence in different uncommonly seen perspectives. In my interpretation, the phrase young, gifted, and black shows the youth that anything can be achieved with exploring and a mind for challenges because we, as Black people, have the gifts to achieve wonders.

Why do you love being creative?

I love creating because seeing an idea go from nothing to something fills my soul. It feels natural.

How can we create a more inclusive design world and ensure that Black people are represented?

Build our own agencies, networks, our own conferences and industry standards.

In general… How can we make more equity or equality for us?

I believe we start with teaching techniques and skills that are worth the equity we all desire. Expanding the awareness and knowledge of the many industries that require design work. Building agencies and relearning design for the templates of black-owned products and advertising. A big challenge in the design world is your skills, consistency and communication of decisions will get you further. From what ive seen, more of us are getting into design with what they have. The next step now is to tightened up on skills and creativity and processing concepts that bring us to higher level to go beyond being equal, being the first to the conversation, to the projects , and to the money. then being able to live off our creativity which is a great win.
