Tell us about yourself:
I am a graphic designer who graduated from Johnson County Community College and will attend The University of Kansas in the fall of 2026, based in Kansas City, Kansas. I love exploring the many areas of design, but I would say I spend most of my time in branding.
What is the inspiration behind your poster design?
Based on the theme “Embrace Togetherness,” I wanted to ensure each illustration reflected it. From helping someone in need to people coming together to fight a problem, we need each other to overcome life’s challenges.
How can we create a more inclusive design world and ensure that everyone is represented?
I think we should all take the time to learn about and acknowledge different cultures and backgrounds so it’s easier to understand and communicate with each other. I think the media can do a better job of representing diverse groups, especially in the design world, but with things such as “Pick Progress,” many different types of people can be represented.
