Tell us about yourself:

I am an art/creative director based in Houston TX. In short I am an artist that also motion pictures

What is the inspiration behind your poster design?

I’ve been inspired by layering but also looking at a lot of Basquiat’s pieces. I also recently had conversations around the idea of Joy so pulled from that conversation and created from that.

Why do you love being creative?

I love conveying emotion. Create pieces that an audience can enjoy and interpret a meaning for themselves.

How can we create a more inclusive design world and ensure that Black people are represented?

Creating an infrastructure for black designers to have resource to each other, opportunities, and projects that actually move culture forward. When I say culture I mean the people so projects that actually help the creators build their brand and finances.

In general… How can we make more equity or equality for us?

I don’t believe we can make more equity or equality there will never be a balanced playing field. I believe the goal is to create our own establishments that fits us.
