Tell us about yourself:

My name is Precious N. Wallace and I am a graphic designer and artist born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. I have been able to have a career in these places since I was a young teen and today own and operate my own business. I teach, speak, make, and create colorful things to tell stories and always willing to color with others.

What is the inspiration behind your poster design?

It’s a celebration and declaration to my brother whom passed in 2015 from colon cancer. You’ll see the 8’s everywhere to signify his existence.

Why do you love being creative?

Creativity chose me. It’s apart of my day to day to see everything and anything creatively.

Tell us about your experiences in the design world…

I didn’t like the one rolled out for a black graphic designer in MN so I decided to create my own. Much better decision.

How can we create a more inclusive design world and ensure that Black people are represented?

Let black folks tell the story of the brand project and it’ll instantly change how it’s viewed.

In general… How can we make more equity or equality for us?

Creating our wealth.
