What is the inspiration behind your poster design?

Literally showing black boy laughing, happy, and smiling.

Why do you love being creative?

Its been my world for forever, its so much apart me it like breathing. And i know my purpose is to use my creative gifts to make room and platforms for black creatives to have there own voices heard.

Tell us about your experiences in the design world…

I’m at a constant search for my own tribe; as I ascend into bigger roles and clients it’s more evident that there’s a ton of work to do. We do exist. We just may still be being over looked, or those that have the power to hire don’t know where to look.

How can we create a more inclusive design world and ensure that Black people are represented?

Platforms like this one and being supportive and a amplify for each other. Speak life into your black creatives to those that need a creative and champion one another.

In general… How can we make more equity or equality for us?

Start by making the work you want to work with and for, and then show it as much and as often as you can. In the creative world seeing is believing.
