Thank you for being a part of the Pick Progress Project: Pick Posters. We are so excited to see your artwork and feature your unique talents for all the world to see. Below is a three-step process to help you complete your tasks and provide us with the info/content we need to represent you best. If you have any follow-up questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at chandler@kalimizzou.com.
Choose Your “Together” Prompt
This series of posters is centered around the phrase ‘Together We Stand.’ You will make a poster based on this idea.
Some Background: ‘Together We Stand’ invokes a lot of connotations of unity, solidarity, and protest against harmful ideologies. While “United we stand, divided we fall” is probably the more well-known take on this phrase, ‘Together We Stand’ is a song from Motown sensation Marvin Gaye, continuing our celebration and recognition of Black culture. In the song, he references that no one can make change alone, and the more we come together, the more impact we’ll make on the world.
So, choose one of the phrases below that will inspire your poster. We strive to provide inclusive and thoughtful options to all backgrounds and perspectives.
Here are the options: Together We Stand, Forward Together, Empowered Together, Together We Rise, Strength in Numbers, Collective Harmony, Together for a Better Tomorrow, Together Beyond Labels, Embrace Togetherness, One Voice Together, All Together Now
